Lil Pump & Smokepurpp Bring Out XXXTentacion's Mom For Tribute
In memory of the slain rapper.
During their set at Lit Up Music Festival in Miami on Saturday, Lil Pump and Smokepurpp brought out XXXTentacion‘s mother Cleopatra Bernard for a tribute in memory of the slain rapper. While his song “SAD!” played, his mother raised her arms and formed the rapper’s signature “X” gesture in honor of her son. “Rest in peace, X. We love you, man,” the rappers said while they embraced Bernard.
XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, died June 18 this year after being gunned down as he left a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Following his murder, Onfroy’s “Sad!” went from 52nd to 1st on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Dedrick Williams, Robert Allen and Michael Boatwright were arrested by the police. All three were indicted by a grand jury but authorities have yet to locate the fourth assailant, who is currently believed to by Trayvon Newsome. Newsome and Boatwright are the alleged shooters.
