Kevin Durant States He "Absolutely Loved" LeBron James Joining the Lakers
During an interview with ‘The Undefeated.’
During a recent interview with ESPN‘s Marc J. Spears, Finals MVP Kevin Durant opened up about LeBron James‘ move to the Los Angeles Lakers. “I loved it. I absolutely loved it,” Durant stated.
As the interview for The Undefeated continued, Durant went on to say, “I thought it was the perfect decision, perfect move. He did everything you’re supposed to do in Cleveland. I think this is the perfect next step for him. He’s kind of breaking down the barriers of what an NBA superstar is supposed to be. You feel like you’re supposed to play it out in one spot, and I think he did a good job of giving you different chapters and it’s going to make his book even more interesting when it’s done.”
Both Durant and James have made similar career moves. In 2016 Durant left Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors in search of a title. James also made a similar decision back in 2010 when he left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join Miami Heat for the same reason. Both James and Durant will be in the same conference for the first in their careers.
