Drake released his highly-anticipated fifth studio album Scorpion just last week, which has already gone platinum according to the RIAA. Deciding to highlight one standout track in particular, the creatives over at Genius have decoded the meaning behind the lyrics to “In My Feelings.” On the single, Drake uses a sample of dialogue from Donald Glover’s FX show Atlanta, more specifically the episode titled “Champagne Papi.” Along with that Drake also incorporates Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop” and Magnolia Shawty’s “Smoking Gun.” With production features from frequent collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, Cleveland-based TrapMoneyBenny, and New Orleans bounce producer BlaqNmilD, the video posted above breaks down the meaning behind “In My Feelings.”
