James Cameron & Robert Rodriguez's 'Alita: Battle Angel' Receives Official Trailer
Debuted during San Diego Comic-Con.
Following December’s first look at the upcoming film, director Robert Rodriguez and screenwriter/producer James Cameron unveiled the full clip for Alita: Battle Angel at Comic Con 2018. Starring Rosa Salazar as the title character, the film sees the cyborg warrior taking on the corrupt government of a futuristic city, under the guidance of Christoph Waltz‘s Ido. Cameron has reportedly been trying to get this film made since falling in love with Yukito Kishiro’s Battle Angel Alita — also known as Gunnm — manga series in the late ’90s; this trailer is essentially the culmination of nearly two decades of effort.
