Avatar’s sequels have been a long time coming but the director has revealed that a key star has already completed her part in them. During a video presentation at CineEurope, James Cameron unveiled the news that Zoe Saldana has already wrapped her parts in both Avatar 2 and 3, which are scheduled for release in 2020 and 2021. The films are being made simultaneously, something that Cameron expanded on in an interview.

Speaking to io9, he said that “One day I’ll be working on scenes from two, the next day I’ll be working on scenes from three. And the actors come in and go, ‘Oh, we’re working on three today.’” Cameron has also completed the scripts and designs for Avatar 4 and 5, which have tentative release dates for 2024 and 2025 if the previous 2 sequels perform well.

In related news, Zoe Saldana accidentally revealed the titled for Avengers 4.
