Y-3 Ekika Sneaker Drops in Black and White
From Yohji Yamamoto and adidas’ FW18 collection.
After releasing the Kaiwa, Yohji Yamamoto and adidas‘s collaborative Y-3 imprint now drops the Ekika sneaker in black and white colorways from its Fall/Winter 2018 collection.
Staying true to Y-3’s penchant for unconventional design, the Ekika sneaker takes a more approachable low-top silhouette and treats it with avant-garde detailing and construction. The upper sees a mix of neoprene, mesh, suede and synthetic materials, assorted in irregular panels and accented with contrast jigsaw stitching. The EVA rubber sole unit has a skeletal shape that finds itself in between being chunky and lightweight, featuring hollowed out sections and an articulated arch.
Both black and white colorways of the Y-3 Ekika sneaker is available for pre-order now at Vrnts’ web store for a retail price of €205 EUR (about $240 USD). The expected delivery is October 30.
