'Shonen Jump' & Uniqlo UT Reunite for Father's Day T-Shirt Collab
‘Dragon Ball Z,’ ‘Naruto,’ ‘Yu Yu Hakusho,’ ‘One Piece’ and ‘HUNTER×HUNTER’ in wearable form.
Following the pair’s earlier collaboration, Uniqlo rejoins Weekly Shonen Jump for a collection of referential UT T-shirts, just in time for Father’s Day. Commemorating the long-running publication’s most iconic series, the collection encompasses a variety of playfully artistic takes on the magazine’s iconic titles.
Heavy-hitting Shonen Jump properties, including Dragon Ball Z, Naruto and One Piece, receive referential tees with contemporized graphics complementary to the year’s first drop. Keeping in line with the holiday, the collection centers around key father figures from each series — Dragon Ball‘s Vegeta, Naruto‘s father Minato Namikaze and Toshin Raizen, father to Yu Yu Hakusho‘s Yusuke Urameshi — are all granted bold graphics on the front, and sometimes rear, of each shirt.
The Father’s Day collection is set to hit Uniqlo’s Japanese stores on June 11; there’s no word on an American release, but the Western Uniqlo UT website reports that more Shonen Jump styles are in store for July 30.
Most recently, we took a look at the full range of Kaws x Uniqlo UT “Sesame Street” goods.
