Rihanna & JAY Z Sued Over Cancelled Nigerian Concert
RiRi’s camp was totally unaware of the “scheduled show.”

According to TMZ, both Rihanna and JAY Z have reportedly been sued over a scheduled 2013 concert in Nigeria that never actually took place. A man by the name of Chris Ubosi insists his company Megalectrics negotiated with and paid two people who claimed to represent Rihanna $160,000 for the global pop star to play a 65-minute set in May of 2013. According to Ubosi, Rihanna’s reps requested that the show be postponed, but a rescheduled date was never advertised, and Megalectrics eventually cancelled and requested a full refund. The money was never returned, and now Ubosi has sued Rihanna, her label Roc Nation and label owner and head honcho JAY Z. TMZ has shared an official statement from Roc Nation:
“Rihanna, Roc Nation nor anyone associated personally or professionally with either party was in contact with this person. Unfortunately this person was scammed. Rihanna nor Roc Nation collected any money for this event.”
