With the long-awaited 2018 FIFA World Cup officially underway, Nike recently held an official launch for its “Football Korobka” collection in Moscow.

Bringing creatives from the cosmopolitan capital together, the event highlighted the raw expression of the soccer in the nation. Serving as Nike’s first-ever Russia-themed range, the dynamic form of Korobka streetball courts which inspired the collection was celebrated in a night that brought fashion and sport together. Pioneer of Russian street culture and co-founder of interactive exhibition project FACES&LACES, Dmitriy Oskes lead the event, showing off his work as the head designer and curator of the “Football Korobka” series. Key youth figures like Vsevolod Cherepanov of SEVER, international DJ CYBER69, Moscow concept store BELIEF and creative community ZULUWARRIOR, who took part in the project were also in attendance to offer their interpretation of soccer in Russia. Displays of the original performance kits present an array of design sensibilities, including Nike’s Dri-FIT Technology, advanced mesh material and “Football Korobka” text elements that serve to unify the collection and the nation.
