Ludacris To Perform at Guantanamo Bay on July 4th
“Gitmo hasn’t seen a star with as big a name as Ludacris in several years.”
Ludacris is set to perform at the US Navy base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on the Fourth of July. According to The Miami Herald, it’s for the annual Freedom Festival, which takes place at the Windward Ferry Landing — located miles away from the infamous prison. It’s not the first time an artist or musician has performed at Guantanamo Bay (Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Eat World and the Plain White T’s), but Navy Chief Monique Hilley notes that “Gitmo hasn’t seen a star with as big a name as Ludacris in several years.” Ludacris’ camp has confirmed that this is happening.
