Lad Musician Embraces Boxy Shapes and Oversized Silhouettes for FW18

Lad Musician returns with a new lookbook, this time with the upcoming the Fall/Winter 2018 season in mind. Sticking mainly to solid tones of black, the Tokyo-based label sparingly employed touches of red and green with landscape portraits, check prints, stripes and other expressive imagery landing on an assortment of staple pieces.
Harmoniously straddling the line between upscale casual and relaxed formal, ensembles highlight everything from graphic T-shirts and printed hoodies to structured blazers and pressed button-down shirts, amongst others. A key creative component is the label’s use of silhouette shapes, effectively mixing in form-fitting tops and trousers with other such items that are instead cut loose from the body. For instance, scattered throughout the collection are boxy outerwear and wide-legged trousers — considered somewhat of a rolling theme, having featured similar looks over seasons past.
