Justin Vernon and The National’s Aaron Dessner to Release Collaborative Album This Summer
The two’s debut as Big Red Machine will appear on their digital platform “PEOPLE.”

As part of their newly-launched streaming platform PEOPLE, founders Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and Aaron Dessner of The National will come together as Big Red Machine to release a collaborative album later this summer. In a recent interview, Vernon opened up about the forthcoming LP: “We have a 10-song record that we’ll be spraying out throughout the rest of the summer.”
Earlier this month, the duo uploaded four tracks to PEOPLE, but as Vernon states, they won’t be part of the soon-to-come album, as they were released just to “put something up in the player for now.”
Stay tuned as we’ll surely get more tunes from Big Red Machine in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out Bon Iver and Moses Sumney’s cover of Sade’s “By Your Side.”
