Eminem Generously Gifts Graduating Flint Students a Pair of Beats by Dre Headphones
More than 230 graduates got a pair.
Eminem has congratulated more than 230 graduates from Flint Community Schools by giving them each a pair of Beats by Dre headphones. The graduates received the free gift after a pre-recorded congratulatory message from the rapper had been played on a big screen at the ceremony. In the message, Eminem said “What’s up Class of 2017? This is Eminem. I just want to say congratulations to the graduating seniors of Flint Northwestern, Flint Southwestern and Flint Accelerated Learning Academy. Congrats to all your guys’ hard work, man. You earned this moment.”
All of the graduates were understandably excited by Eminem’s speech and gift. Betty Davis, a senior from Flint Northwestern, told MLive: “I thought he was just going to give his speech on the speaker and it just was going to be that. I greatly appreciate Eminem for giving out like he did. He didn’t have to and the fact that he can see so much potential in Flint and Flint students, it just makes the gift so much more worth keeping.”
Eminem has also recently helped to raise money for victims of the Manchester attack along with Justin Timberlake, helping the campaign break its target of £2 million GBP (around $2.5 million USD).
