Cardi B and Offset Are Officially Married
… And have been secretly married since September 2017.
On October 27, 2017 onstage at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert, Offset proposed to his girlfriend Cardi B in front of fans. However, TMZ reports that the couple has been secretly married since September 20, 2017. TMZ claims they found the marriage certificate in Fulton County, Georgia under the artists’ real names, Belcalis Merlenis Almanzar and Kiari Kendrell Cephus; Cardi B later confirmed the news on Twitter about her secret.
“This why I name my album Invasion of Privacy ’cause people will do the most to be nosey about your life. Welp f*ck it,” Cardi tweeted, referring to a TMZ report. In an accompanying statement, Cardi wrote, “There are so many moments that I share with the world, and then there are moments that I want to keep to myself! Getting married was one of those moments! Was one morning in September we woke up and decided to get married. We found someone to marry us, and she did. Just the two of us and my cousin. I said ‘I do,’ with no dress, no makeup, and no ring!”
