adidas aims to carry on the pride celebration with specially designed Sambas. In collaboration with Britain’s DJ Fat Tony, the Three Stripes have called upon some of the LGBTQ+ community’s most notable supporters to place their own twists onto the iconic model. Some of the participants include Blondey McCoy, Elton John, Rita Ora, Pharrell Williams, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs, Naomi Campbell, David Beckham and many others.
Some of the design additions include feathers, colorful socks, buckles, glitter, Birkenstock sandals, and even skate wheels. The offering will be made available via a silent auction held on eBay on July 3 with its proceeds benefitting The Albert Kennedy Trust.
I am proud to be curating this important project, supported by adidas Originals. #prouder is not only a campaign to raise awareness and vital funds for the The Albert Kennedy Trust, but a step towards breaking down barriers and building the bridge between members of all communities. The icons involved are true believers in this project and it’s purpose of spreading love and sharing creativity. Be sure to pay the exhibition a visit Be #prouder
