De’Wayne Jackson has released the visuals for his latest video, “Truth Is.” The single is about the artist’s dealing with lost love, reminiscing about what went wrong in his past relationship. In a press release he spoke about why he got into music, saying “Ever since I was younger, I always knew I was a bit of an outsider, but it never really scared me from making my own type of music, I just kind of embraced it.” He counts J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar as musical influences and will be showcasing his talents in a forthcoming EP called Don’t Be Afraid, which is due to be released May 26.
