Steph Curry's Under Armour Curry 5 Is Out Now
An official look at the lightweight sneaker.
After receiving a glimpse at Steph Curry‘s newest colorway with Under Armour earlier this week, we get an up-close look at the Curry 5. Borrowing from Curry’s use of ingenuity and innovation on the court, the lightweight shoe is wired differently from its predecessors as it uses a full knit construction and unique lacing system to bring precision across every part of the shoe. The molded Anafoam cushioning provides comfort, while the grip on outer sole provides quick-stop traction on a variety of surfaces which is crucial for the Warriors’ PG.
On the aesthetic front, a simple black and white mesh pattern is balanced against clean, white overlays, accented with pops of red hues. Elevated by a translucent blue outer sole, compartments for hiding laces and complete with “SC” branding on the tongue, all of the features are impressively packed into an 11.8 oz sneaker.
