RZA & Paul Banks of Interpol Debut Their First Song Together as "Banks & Steelz" With Ghostface Killah
“Love & War” is the first track from the unexpected new duo.
With Ghostface Killah having already dropped his successful Sour Soul album with Canadian band BADBADNOTGOOD last year, RZA is following this rock-meets-hip-hop sound by collaborating with Interpol’s lead vocalist and guitarist, Paul Banks. Forming a brand new act under the name Banks & Steelz, RZA and Banks debut their first project together with Ghostface titled “Love & War.” Take a listen to Banks & Steelz’s “Love & War,” which premiered via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 program, below. What are your thoughts on their new sound?
Banks has previously worked with hip-hop artists, most notably his 2013 mixtape, “Everybody On My Dick Like They Supposed To Be” that featured the likes of Talib Kweli, Mike G and El-P, among others.
