Nike Is Hiding the Seams of the Air Force 1 With the New Up Step
The Air Force 1 gets yet another luxurious makeover.

Given its classic looks, Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 lends itself to makeovers and upgrades, whether it be in the form of new materials, bold color-blocking or graphic applications. This summer the Swoosh is redoing Bruce Kilgore’s 1982 design once again, this time introducing the brand new Up Step. Similar to the sportswear giant’s recent NikeLab releases, these come draped in premium tumbled leather and sport hidden seams throughout while ditching the silhouette’s usual heel branding in favor of a cleaner look. Unlike the NikeLab drops, however, these will come with a gum rubber outsole and a more prototypical tongue branding badge. The biggest difference, though? The Up Step will drop in women’s sizes as a ladies exclusive.
Look for five colorways in all to hit NSW dealers later on this summer.
