Rihanna is the newest cover star for Vogue and, in her interview with the magazine, she revealed that she’s working on a reggae album. One of her influences for the upcoming project is Supa Dups, the Jamaican-born record producer who has worked with big names such as Beenie Man, Sean Paul and Elephant Man. Rihanna also shared that her favorite reggae artist is Bob Marley and “Three Little Birds,” “Redemption Song” and “No Woman, No Cry” are her go-to records.
Later on in the interview, Rihanna was asked about that time Drake presented her with the MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in 2016. She shared that waiting through Drake’s speech was “probably the most uncomfortable part” because she doesn’t like “too many compliments.” She also said that they are no longer friends. “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either,” she said. “It is what it is.”
