Nintendo to Release Dock-Free Switch Bundle
All handheld.

Nintendo Japan has announced a Nintendo Switch package that comes without the system’s dock that allows gamers to play on a television. A Switch usually comes with a docking cradle, power cord, and HDMI cable, but this kit will only include the Switch’s tablet-like body, its Joy-Con controller, and the Joy-Con strap.
The “Nintendo Switch 2nd Set” is only available in Japan for ¥24,980 JPY ($227 USD) — a discount from the console’s usual MSRP of ¥29,980 JPY ($299 USD) for the full version. There’s speculation that the dockless kit could arrive in the United States, but no official statement has been made.
In related news, Japan is also getting Resident Evil 7 on the Nintendo Switch as a streaming game.
