Nicolas Ghesquière Renews Louis Vuitton Contract
The womenswear artistic director is set to stay.

After big changes with the menswear department — as Virgil Abloh replace Dior Homme-bound Kim Jones — Louis Vuitton has announced there will be no such departures in the women’s team. Nicolas Ghesquière, who has been artistic director of women’s collections since 2013, has renewed his contract with LVMH and will continue to helm the label for the considerable future.
Announcing the news, Ghesquière stated: “I am very pleased to open the next chapter of the story I started with Louis Vuitton almost 5 years ago. Balancing an incredible heritage with a constant quest for innovation has always been an essential part of my work, it is also at the center of the history of this company and I look forward to further develop the codes we have implemented over the last years.”
