NSFW R-Rated 'Muppets' Movie Is Here, First Trailer Released
‘The Happytime Murders’ stars Melissa McCarthy and some truly foul-mouthed puppets.
Starring Melissa McCarthy, The Happytime Murders is The Muppets‘s first foray into crude, R-rated humor. Much like the classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, the film centers around a world where humans and puppets coexist and centers around a pair of detectives trying to solve a grisly murder. The detective puppet, Phil Philips (voiced by Bill Barretta) partners with McCarthy to bring a serial puppet killer to justice. Expect plenty of puppet gore along the way — as the film’s tagline puts it, “No Sesame, All Street.”
