HUF Reintroduces Dylan Rieder's Driver Sneaker With Calf Hair
A handcrafted tribute to the dearly-remembered skate icon.
Following last year’s reissue, HUF once again reworks Dylan Rieder‘s signature Driver shoe. Commemorating Rieder’s 30th birthday, the late skater’s hybrid shoe has been given a special upgrade. Made by hand in America, the upper now boasts calf hair to complement the soft lambskin liner and footbed. Support comes in the form of the EVA midsole and traction-improving Vibram outsole. A debossed HUF logo, Dylan’s insignia and a custom inscription appear in gold foil on the insole.
The shoe launches in American stores on May 26 to coincide with Rieder’s birthday before releasing globally on May 29 via HUF’s web store. Only 150 pairs of shoes will release, with a portion of profits from the $275 USD price donated to Rieder’s family.
