With the news that Vetements is leaving the schedule, Paris Fashion Week has now been strengthened by the news that Gucci will show its Spring/Summer 2019 collection in Paris. The move is set for one season only, with Gucci reported to be returning to Milan for its subsequent shows.

The Paris Fashion Week show is the final installment of Gucci and Alessandro Michele‘s three-part homage to France, which began with the pre-fall advertising campaign and also includes the upcoming Resort show in Arles. The show is set to take place on September 24 — the transition day between Milan and Paris — and the label will also host an event at the Gucci Hub in Milan on September 19.

In other fashion news, Virgil Abloh is releasing a book of his Harvard lecture.
