Alexander McQueen Unveils a New High-Top Leather Trainer for Spring
A logo application similar to the Nike Air More Uptempo.
Alexander McQueen reveals a new sneaker silhouette that arrives in time to celebrate the current spring/summer season. Last week, we took a look at one of the label’s chunky trainer iterations, which colorways bear an uncanny resemblance to some OG Nike Air Max 1 motifs. With that in mind, the label’s newest rendition also strikes up design similarities to yet another Swoosh classic: the Air More Uptempo.
Clean white leather envelopes the upper, with a matching-hued clunky rubber sole unit sitting directly below. The artistic focal point of the sneaker lies within the bubble-lettered “AMQ” emblem hitting both the medial and lateral sides, which can be compared to the “AIR” logo found on the Nike version. Metallic silver branding on the tongue completes the contemporary design. These new Alexander McQueen trainers retail for $616 USD and are available for purchase at matchesfashion.com.
Speaking of designer footwear, Rick Owens & Birkenstock debut their Spring/Summer 2018 lookbook.
