Zaha Hadid's Only Private Residence Is Finally Completed
Situated in the Barvikha Forest near Moscow.
The only private house designed by late Iraqi-British architect, Zaha Hadid, is finally completed. Dubbed the Capital Hill Residence, Hadid’s former business partner Patrik Schumacher took over the project after her death in 2016. The futuristic home was built on a hillside in the Barvikha Forest near Moscow. It was commissioned by entrepreneur and philanthropist, Vladislav Doronin as per Dezeen.
Collectively, the four-story establishment is made up of two horizontal components that are joined together by three concrete pillars. The lower level boasts a living room, dining room, kitchen, entertainment room, indoor swimming pool and recreational spaces. The ground floor features a spacious foyer, guest room, children’s playroom, and a library. Lastly, the top floor hosts the master bedroom and sweeping terraces offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape.
