Japanese labels sacai and fragment design have collaborated on an exclusive capsule collection of pieces described as “official bootlegs.” The project was initially intended to be a small run of 20 T-shirts, with Hiroshi Fujiwara approaching Chitose Abe to create a series of bootleg-style tees. The idea then progressed, with the full collection also including coach jackets, sweatshirts and New Era hats.

The “official bootleg” theme is referenced in the collection’s graphics, including text saying “SACAI / (NOT sacai)” and “Approved Bootleg.” Elsewhere, pieces feature hidden plaid patterns as well as subtle branding in typewriter font. Take a look at the full lookbook, with the capsule set to arrive exclusively at HBX at 9AM EST on April 7.
