Mark Gonzales Teams With World Yo-Yo Champion for Collaborative Drop
Medicom Toy joins Hiroyuki Suzuki’s FRESHTHINGS for the yo-yo pair.
Mark “The Gonz” Gonzales has enjoyed a recent string of Japanese collaborations, working with Dickies Japan on a full capsule and STÄMMBAUM on a bespoke souvenir jacket. Now, the skate legend takes a left turn, linking with world yo-yo champion Hiroyuki Suzuki’s FRESHTHINGS for a pair of yo-yos bearing Gonzales’s recognizable artwork. Each side of the red and yellow toys features one of the artist’s angel figures, while the outer edge bears a print reading “IF YOU WANT YOUR ASS KICK STEP STEP DOWN” and Gonzales’s nickname.

Recently, Gonzales joined Blondey McCoy, Shepard Fairey and other artists for the fundraising 426m2 art show.
