Kamasi Washington Shares Three-Part Short Film for New Record "Truth"
Our first taste of his forthcoming EP.

Los Angeles virtuoso Kamasi Washington has played a significant role in rejuvenating modern jazz in recent years, cranking out critically-acclaimed projects and working with artists such as Kendrick Lamar along the way. Following up his recent collaborative efforts with Thundercat’s brother Ronald Bruner Jr., the multi-talented California musician has decided to debut a new track and video to push his next major release. Promoting his forthcoming project Harmony of Difference, Washington serves up a short film in support of EP cut “Truth.” Today’s release serves as our first taste of Harmony of Difference, which is expected to arrive sometime in summer.
Unfolding over the course of 14 minutes, the “Truth” piece is built around three separate acts and features three different narratives. You can check out Kamasi Washington’s “Truth” visual above.
