The follow-up to the jazz mastermind’s 2015 album, ‘The Epic.’

Jazz saxophonist, composer, producer and bandleader Kamasi Washington has announced the follow-up to his 2015 album The Epic. Titled Heaven and Earth, the album represents two sides of the world that Kamasi sees. “The Earth side represents the world as I see it outwardly, the world that I am a part of,” he says in a tweet. “The Heaven side represents the world as I see it inwardly, the world that is a part of me.”
Washington dropped the Harmony of Difference EP last year. He also joined Terrace Martin’s new music group the Pollyseeds for their debut project The Sounds of Crenshaw, Vol. 1.
