Ja Rule Issues Statement on Fyre Festival Chaos
He says he’s “heartbroken.”
The Fyre Festival has made headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent hours, and now the festival’s most famous co-creator and organizer has issued a statement. Taking to Twitter, Ja Rule is apologizing for the disaster and claims he’s “heartbroken” by news of chaos at the event. “My partners and I wanted this to be an amazing event. It was NOT A SCAM,” Ja Rule explains. “I truly apologize as this is NOT MY FAULT… but I’m taking responsibility. I’m deeply sorry to everyone who was inconvenienced by this.” As we previously reported, Fyre Festival has been plagued by all forms of bad press — from cheese sandwiches to an entire subreddit devoted to the concert’s many mishaps to Sam Hyde memes.
