The Bay Area’s bold rap advocate for social justice and beyond is back with a new single today, dubbed “Nothing to Lose.” Premiering on PAPER‘s website, the funky ’90s California-vibe cut finds the neuroscience and social science double-major channeling his inner Tupac/Dr. Dre. “It’s the vibe I was going for, because I’m from California originally. I’m loyal to the soil, and it comes out in this song more than any other song I’ve put out,” EaSWay explains, adding “It’ll make you feel like TuPac is still alive and Dr. Dre is still producing.”

Meanwhile, “Nothing to Lose” is one of the first releases from the artist following his impressive debut project, Panther in the Room, which premiered with us back in December along with Q&A where he shared his unique perspective of being a millennial African-American artist in today’s game. “Nothing to Lose” is available now on all major digital streaming platforms, including SoundCloud below.
