Known for his evocative mask series, the Japanese artisan who now lives in Brooklyn was contacted by A$AP’s AWGE creative division to create a one of a kind mask centered around the aesthetic of the upcoming album. Circular crash test logos and a safety belt with a Mercedes-Benz logo closure serve as the standout design elements of the mask constructed of panels taken from leather cowboy boots. Drawing from crash dummies, safety gear and warning motifs, A$AP Rocky’s cold weather face mask is just the latest physical embodiment of the experimental project being teased as of late.
