A Closer Look at Air Jordan 1 "Satin Shattered Backboard"
A famous model makes a return.
Jordan Brand has continued to re-release some of the most famous models, this time with the “Satin Shattered Backboard” colorway. As the name suggests, this shoe uses satin on the tooling and swoosh, with the rest of the model using a premium tumbled leather.
The difference between this and the original release is the orange semi-translucent outsole. A women’s exclusive, it will be available in extended womens sizing — going up to a women’s 12, which is a men’s 10.5. The Air Jordan 1 “Satin Shattered Backboard” costs $160 USD and will be available on 5 May from selected retailers.
In related news, Jordan Brand is set to release an Air Jordan 13 “Tinker” edition later this year. The release is part of the company’s ongoing plan to connect iconic Jordan moment’s to Hatfield’s designs.
