In a little over a week’s time, Snoh Aalegra plans to drop a new project entitled Don’t Explain. Set to arrive on April 8, Don’t Explain features nine new songs made in conjunction with talented producers such as No I.D., DJ Dahi, Boi-1da, Frank Dukes and more. The project even features a guest appearance from James Fauntleroy. Today, she’s sharing a new track from the LP. The song features Snoh Aalegra over production from brother-duo Christian Rich, and it’s dubbed “In Your River.” You can stream the effort and read Aalegra’s statement about Don’t Explain — as delivered to Flaunt — below.

“The album is basically based on a romance that I had that was very intense,” Snoh revealed to Flaunt Magazine. “The highs were really high and the lows were low. The album is called, Don’t Explain. What I mean by that is that sometimes you are in a situation where it feels good for you and maybe you can’t explain it to other people. Its just a feeling that you know and that you feel is right and there’s no reason that you always have to explain yourself…Just like the relationship, [the EP] is very dramatic. I feel like the strings represent all of the drama and ups and downs.”
