Run the Jewels Made a Virtual Reality Music Video for "Crown"
Their first 360 degree-music video is an immersive experience.

Run the Jewels just made their first 360° VR video for their song ”Crown,” which comes off the duo’s critically-acclaimed album, Run the Jewels 2. Directed by Oscar-nominee Peter Martin, the full music video is only available through The New York Times‘ VR app and when viewed through a proper headset, it transports the user into a foreign landscape with Killer Mike, El-P and other characters in a totally immersive experience.
View the “Crown” music video on The NY Times VR app now for iOS or Android, or wait until it gets released via YouTube and Facebook’s 360 platforms in April. The video is apparently one of several virtual reality projects Run the Jewels will be releasing this year, including live performances, virtual art galleries and more. In celebration of Record Store Day, the rappers will also be releasing customized VRTJ cardboard viewers, out April 16.
