Rihanna Continues Her Billboard Charts Streak
Flatbush Zombies also debuted at #1 on one of the charts.

For yet another week, Rihanna is the major artist snagging most of the top spots on the Billboard charts. So far, only Adele and Justin Bieber can rival the “Work” singer’s run. While Bieber, Zayn, newcomer Bebe Rexha and Kendrick Lamar earned some sporadic placements across this week’s rankings, Rihanna is once again the unofficial queen of the charts.
Rihanna’s hit-single “Work” takes the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, On-Demand Songs and Streaming Songs charts. It also sweeps charts such as Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs and Hot R&B Songs. The album it supports, Anti, reigns supreme on R&B Albums and the Billboard 200.
Elsewhere, Justin Bieber is at No. 1 on the Artist 100 and Social 50 charts, while his single “Love Yourself” continues its control of the Radio Songs rankings. “Love Yourself”‘s control of the Adult Pop Songs chart remains firm as well.
While last week’s debut of his new project untitled unmastered. propelled him to the top spots on many relevant rankings, Kendrick Lamar faced a slight slump this week. His latest LP remains at No. 1 on the Tastemaker Albums, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, Rap Albums, though its dominance over other charts from last week’s numbers has faltered. Still, considering the lack of promotion behind it and its content, it’s a pretty impressive feat.
On another worthwhile note, Flatbush Zombies debuted at at No. 1 on the Independent Albums chart. The NYC psychonauts are about the farthest you can get from a “mainstream” or “pop music” act, so it’s a very impressive accomplishment for the trio and proves their fanbase is stronger than ever.
