TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek Joins Pussy Riot for New Single, "Bad Apples"
“We demand firing of corrupted cops and high-level officials.”
It’s been nearly six years since their release from prison after the Russian government infamously jailed members of the Moscow-based punk-feminist music collective, Pussy Riot for “hooliganism.” Despite this, the group continues to lean heavily on their revolutionary garb aimed at Putin, and even expanded its crusade towards Donald Trump last year on a song called “Make America Great Again.”
Today, in conjunction with their new North American tour, the group has shared its latest video-single with TV on the Radio’s own Dave Sitek called, “Bad Apples.” Directed and produced by Matt Creed, the description for the music video reads: “Hope you are not going to like this track, since it’s dedicated to really disgusting things. We demand immediate criminal justice reform. We demand firing of corrupted cops and high-level officials.”
