New J Dilla Compilation 'Motor City' Announced
A collection of rare, unreleased beats curated by Dilla’s mom.
A new J Dilla rarities compilation titled Motor City has been announced. Curated and compiled by J Dilla’s mother, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey, the forthcoming project will contain rare and unreleased Dilla instrumentals. It will drop on April 21, and CD and vinyl editions will be packaged in limited-edition mailing envelopes. Along with tape will be a handwritten message from Ma Dukes to Dilla and a download code for a mix of the album by Dilla’s close friend and frequent collaboator J Rocc. Check out “Motor City J.
