Menswear influencer Nick Wooster is selling almost 100 pieces from his personal closet on Grailed. Among the various gems is this extremely rare pair of Tom Sachs x Nike “Mars Yard” sneakers. First debuted at Tom Sachs‘ “SPACE PROGRAM: Mars” art exhibit in 2012, these sneakers feature an upper constructed of Vectran fabric from the Mars Excursion Rover airbags, camel-tone suede paneling and red accents on the Swoosh, heel tab and tongue tab. Other details include outsoles from the Nike Special Forces Boot and leather insoles that list the ingredients of the atmosphere. The shoe itself, however, is only one part of the whole package. The pair comes in a unique box inspired by DIY aesthetics. It resembles a standard brown packing box with hand-written labels and a Velcro fastening that mimics a piece of duct tape. For a staggering $3,000 USD, you can purchase these rare kicks now at Grailed.
