The COMME des GARÇONS PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor Receives a Makeover for 2018
Swapping out the black uppers for khaki.

The iconic COMME des GARÇONS PLAY x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star returns with a brand new look for Spring/Summer 2018. Ditching the classic black and white colorway for a new khaki tone, the new shoes see a revised heart pattern along with some recognizable detailing.
Available in both low- and high-top iterations, the new collaborative Converse feature the iconic CDG PLAY heart logo emblazoned across both sides of the upper, rotating 90 degrees each time. The shoes boast black stripes on the rear and foxing-free midsoles, as usual, which affects a cleaner look. This time around, the black uppers have been replaced with khaki, with the familiar insole co-branding and white license plate tag on the heel intact.
No official launch date has been announced but Japanese retailers are expected to receive the shoes later this month. Most recently, Converse Japan tapped ex-Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz for the latest iteration of its “Avant” series.
