Rei Kawakubo delivered yet another whimsical COMME des GARÇONS womenswear collection for Fall/Winter 2018 at Paris Fashion Week. The eccentric runway debuted a lineup of outlandishly sculptural silhouettes inspired by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay “Notes on Camp,” all of which were complemented by equally high-reaching footwear.
Most noteworthy of the shoe designs were the stacked Nike Cortez sneakers, which came in contrasting black and white with an extra-high, color-blocked or striped platform sole units. This latest CdG x Nike footwear collaboration comes shortly after the recently debuted hot pink COMME des GARÇONS HOMME Plus x Nike Air Max 180 sneakers.
