Last Night the adidas Deerupt Launched in Paris, Here's What Went Down

The latest silhouette from adidas Originals – the Deerupt — hit the streets of Paris last night and, unsurprisingly, the city came out for it. The foundation of the Deerupt’s design comes from the signature grid that has appeared on several of the brand’s sneakers in the past, only expanded to encompass the entire shoe. To immerse Paris in this aesthetic and the “creative potential” of the grid, adidas brought the concept to life with an interactive event taking place in the Louvre Carrousel. Select Parisian creatives were tasked with interpreting the grid in their own style to create experiential installations where guests could play around and explore the concept.

Other on-hand facilities included a deconstructed dining experience, an in-house tattoo studio, a virtual reality tour and a presentation by Senior Vice President of Design Nic Galway. Musical performances by Brodinski and local legends Justice brought the event to a fittingly energetic close.
