Leica and photographer/Olympic snowboarder Iouri Podladtchikov have come together to release a limited edition Lecia Q with a snow white color scheme. Based on the Leica Q silver design, the “Snow White” model features a silver top and bottom cover, a silver control button on the top cover and a new aluminium accessory case. The body of the camera is wrapped in pure white leather, comes with a similar colored carrying case, and features an aluminium shoe cover.
However, it packs the same specs as a vanilla Lecia Q, coming with a Leica Summilux 28 mm f/1.7 ASPH. lens, electronic viewfinder, and built-in Wi-Fi. This addition of the camera is limited to just 300 units, and each is engraved with a special version of the serial number to prove its authenticity. The exclusive Q Snow is set to cost $5,395 USD when it releases in March, about $1,145 USD more than the standard version.
In related news, Huawei’s Mate 10 smartphone with Leica is available for pre-order.
