Jay Z's TIDAL & Roc Nation Donate $1.5 Million to Black Lives Matter Movement

The donation was made on the same day Trayvon Martin would have turned 21.

Jay Z’s music streaming service TIDAL has donated $1.5 million USD to social justice organizations including Black Lives Matter, according to reports. Donated through the New World Foundation, the donation will be shared amongst Opportunity Agenda, Hands Up United, Sankofa.Org, Community Coalition, Dream Defenders, Black Youth Project, Baltimore Justice Fund, Empowerment Development Corporation, Million Hoodies, NY Justice League and Ohio Students Association/Organizing Collaborative. Donations will also be made to those fighting police brutality, in cases such as that of Trayvon Martin, Michael O.D Brown and Oscar Grant.
