Jay Z to Launch His Own Venture Capital Fund
A joint venture with the president of Roc Nation.

As Axios reports, Jay Z has plans to launch his own venture capital fund. A joint effort alongside Roc Nation president and close business associate Jay Brown, the endeavor is a partnership with entrepreneurs Shervin Pishevar and Scott Stanford’s San Francisco-based Sherpa Capital and is currently in need of another partner. Having mutually invested in similar firms in the past, Jay Z and Jay Brown look to lay the foundation for their own investment empire with their next business moves. Axios reports that this new firm will concentrate on seed-stage companies, yet no other specific details have surfaced. In recent years, Jay Z has put money into startups such as JetSmarter, Away, BlackJet, Devialet and Julep.
