Less than a week after news broke regarding one of Donald Glover/Childish Gambino’s next major role, the fast-rising artist connects with Los Angeles media legend Big Boy for a new interview. Calling into Big Boy’s Real 92.3 program, the “Redbone” singer-songwriter opened up about the sound and direction of his most recent studio album Awaken, My Love!, one of his favorite childhood experiences, performing the role of Lando Calrissian in the forthcoming Star Wars flick, a joint album with Chance the Rapper and more. “There really is no genre anymore, so you just have to make something new,” explains Glover when asked about his multi-discipline approach to arts and culture.
