For those who don’t already know, Big Daddy Kane is one of the most influential rappers in the golden era of hip-hop. The GRAMMY-winning artist was one of the members of Marley Marl’s Queensbridge-based Juice Crew alongside Biz Markie, Kool G Rap and Roxanne Shanté.
The veteran rapper recently visited the NPR offices to take part in their Tiny Desk Concert series. Accompanied by a live band, Kane performed songs like “Raw,” “Smooth Operator” and “Ain’t No Half Steppin.” Watch the video above.
