New Raf Simons x adidas & Nine More Essential European Drops
Including new releases from 424, Slam Jam & Norse Projects.

With January now behind us, more and more Spring/Summer 2018 collections are starting to release. The next week is set to see new collections from brands such as Britain’s YMC and Denmark’s Norse Projects, with the two labels both releasing summer-influenced capsules as the days get warmer. Elsewhere, Raf Simons continues his ongoing collaboration with adidas as new Ozweego colorways release and Hummel teams up once again with L.A.’s 424.
We’re also fast approaching Chinese New Year, which has prompted London’s maharishi to unveil a celebratory “Year of the Dog” jacket, while both Filling Pieces and adidas Originals have taken inspiration from basketball for new footwear drops. As always, we’ve put together all of the next week’s best drops in one place.
Hummel x 424
Following on from previous collaborations, Danish sportswear brand Hummel has once again linked up with L.A.-based 424 for a soccer-inspired collection. Taking inspiration from fashion’s football obsession, the collection builds on Hummel’s history and 424’s Guillermo Andrade love of football and comes in a black and orange color scheme. Key pieces include parkas, jerseys and gloves. The collection is available now from the Hummel web store.
P.E. Nation x Reebok Classic Nylon Pack
Australian athletic label P.E. Nation has looked into the archives for a retro collaboration with Reebok. The capsule features two takes on the Reebok classic silhouette, with both coming in nylon. The two colorways come with black or white uppers, with contrasting touches of bright red and blue as well as P.E. Nation branding and touches of grain leather or suede. Both colorways are available now from P.E. Nation’s web store.
maharishi “Year of the Dog” Jacket
London-based maharishi has decided to celebrate Chinese New Year with a limited edition jacket. The “Year of the Dog” jacket comes in black with gold embroidery. On the front, that embroidery depicts a British Bulldog and a Chinese Lion Dog, while the back features a message of “peace in the east, love in the west.” The jacket is available now from the maharishi web store.
Raf Simons x adidas Ozweego III Colorways
Belgian designer Raf Simons has continued his longstanding relationship with adidas by dropping three new Ozweego III colorways. The new versions of the iconic sneaker — one of the best chunky trainers – see tonal burgundy iteration, another with a black upper/purple body and, lastly, a monochrome colorway. All three colorways are available now from retailers including London’s Machine-A.
Norse Projects Spring 2018
For its latest release, Copenhagen-based Norse Projects has stuck to the theme of high quality, minimalist pieces for which it is known. Taking inspiration from the work of Donald Judd and the rugged Nordic coastline, the collection sees staple pieces such as tees, hoodies, shirts and jackets in a range of muted colorways. The full Spring 2018 collection is available now from Norse Projects’ web store.
Filling Pieces Basketball Capsule
Amsterdam-based sneaker brand Filling Pieces has taken inspiration from basketball for a capsule of court-ready footwear. The sneakers in the pack — named the “Lay Up Icey 2 Flow” and “Alley Oop High Icey” — come in an array of colorways and premium materials, with leather, mesh, suede and nubuck all featuring cross the two silhouettes. The basketball-influenced capsule is available now from the Filling Pieces web store.
Slam Jam x 424 x Alpha Industries
Originally announced back in December, the three-way collaboration between Italy’s Slam Jam, 424 and Alpha Industries sees Guillermo Andrade remix archive military pieces. With the collection inspired by the Vietnam war, the pieces include outerwear such as patchwork kimono, bomber jackets and a parka, as well as a helmet bag and ripped trousers. The full collaboration is available now at retailers including Machine-A.
adidas Originals EQT Bball ADV
The latest silhouette to be added to adidas Originals’ EQT line sees a basketball take on the ADV sneaker. Coming with a higher top construction, the sneaker also mixes the basketball influence — for example, molded TPU panels for support — with classic EQT elements such as the integrated 3-stripe branding and subtle EQT green patches. The new pack is available now from the adidas Originals web store.
mita sneakers x Hummel “Danish Pastry” Marathona OG
Another collaboration from Hummel sees it once again team up with Japan’s mita sneakers on the Marathona OG. The two brands have worked together in the past, and this is the second time that they have taken inspiration from Danish cuisine. The color of the shoe’s pigskin suede upper is inspired by fruit jam, while the sockliner is a reference to a flaky crust. The collaboration is available now from retailers including Hanon.
YMC “Wish You Were Here” Spring/Summer 2018 Collection
British label YMC has taken inspiration from classic summer holidays for its Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Titled “Wish You Were Here,” the collection features pastel tones, candy stripe shirts and safari prints. Other key elements include Japanese selvedge denim accessories, and takes on the Desert Boot and Boat Shoe footwear silhouettes. Some pieces have dropped already, with the rest set to arrive on the YMC web store on February 5.
